Home / Fallbrook
For owners who are not always there
What Property Watch looks like in Fallbrook.
If you own a home, a second home, or a property you visit only now and then in Fallbrook, Property Watch puts the same agreed route on a set schedule. Each check follows a 30–45-minute route through the accessible areas we agree on in writing. After every check you get a checklist, dated photos, and a written report, and we notify you of concerns we observe so you can decide what happens next.
For one-off needs, a Property Help Visit covers up to two hours on site for light cleanup, simple assembly or adjustment, or letting an approved vendor in, followed by dated completion photos.
Visual checks are not a technical inspection, continuous monitoring, security patrol, or emergency service, and we cannot promise same-day visits. Large properties, additional buildings, and extra checks are quoted separately.

Fallbrook notices
Weed and brush notices in Fallbrook
Fallbrook notices come from North County Fire.
Fallbrook is an unincorporated community in San Diego County. Riverside County rules, including Ord. 695, do not apply here. Weed abatement in Fallbrook is handled by the North County Fire Protection District (NCFPD). Here is what the district publishes:
- The district's weed abatement rules are its Ordinance 2000-01. A property that needs work receives a "Notice to Abate Hazard" under that ordinance.
- The district asks owners to follow the instructions on the notice to avoid additional reinspection fees, and takes questions at 760-723-2010.
- The district notes that it does not regulate vacant lots over an acre.
- For weed and brush management standards, the district points owners to the County of San Diego's defensible space guidance.
How we help: send us a photo of your NCFPD notice, the address or APN, and the approximate lot size. We quote a one-time clearance limited to what the notice requires, using mowing and hand tools with no herbicides, and confirm the price and whether we can finish before your deadline in writing before booking. Afterward you get dated before/after photos. If the work would reach $1,000, needs a license or permit, or requires hauling, we tell you and decline that part.
Only the North County Fire Protection District decides whether a property complies. Red Gate is an independent business, not affiliated with the district or the County.

Disclosure
Not a licensed contractor.
Red Gate Ranch and Home Services is not a licensed contractor. We do not pull permits, we have no employees, and we do not split a project into smaller jobs to get around licensing rules.
When California's minor-work exemption applies, the total cost of a project, labor and materials together, stays strictly under the state's $1,000 limit for unlicensed work. Work that needs a license or a permit is declined.
We are insured. Insurance is not a contractor's license, and it does not change what we decline.
