Home / Murrieta
For owners who are not always there
What Property Watch looks like in Murrieta.
If you own a home, a second home, or a property you visit only now and then in Murrieta, Property Watch puts the same agreed route on a set schedule. Each check follows a 30–45-minute route through the accessible areas we agree on in writing. After every check you get a checklist, dated photos, and a written report, and we notify you of concerns we observe so you can decide what happens next.
For one-off needs, a Property Help Visit covers up to two hours on site for light cleanup, simple assembly or adjustment, or letting an approved vendor in, followed by dated completion photos.
Visual checks are not a technical inspection, continuous monitoring, security patrol, or emergency service, and we cannot promise same-day visits. Large properties, additional buildings, and extra checks are quoted separately.

Murrieta notices
Weed and brush notices in Murrieta
Murrieta notices come from the City, not the County.
Murrieta is an incorporated city in Riverside County with its own weed and brush program. Murrieta Fire & Rescue runs it under Murrieta Municipal Code Title 8, Chapter 8.32, together with Section 604 of the California Wildland-Urban Interface Code. Here is what the City publishes:
- Annual notices are mailed to property owners in the State Fire Marshal's High and Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones, and to owners of vacant property in the City.
- Field inspections start in mid-April and continue through fire season. Owners of non-compliant properties receive a notice to comply. The municipal code requires the notice to be headed "Notice to Clean Premises."
- If no visible attempt is made to clean up the property within 15 days, the City may abate the property and bill the owner.
- For properties of five acres or less, the City says all weeds must be abated, and discing, mowing, or weed whacking is acceptable.
How we help: send us a photo of your Murrieta notice, the address or APN, and the approximate lot size. We quote a one-time clearance limited to what the notice requires, using mowing and hand tools with no herbicides, and confirm the price and whether we can finish before your deadline in writing before booking. Afterward you get dated before/after photos. If the work would reach $1,000, needs a license or permit, or requires hauling, we tell you and decline that part.
Only Murrieta Fire & Rescue decides whether a property complies. Questions about a notice go to the City; the City lists [email protected] for vegetation hazards in the designated zones. Red Gate is an independent business, not affiliated with the City.

Disclosure
Not a licensed contractor.
Red Gate Ranch and Home Services is not a licensed contractor. We do not pull permits, we have no employees, and we do not split a project into smaller jobs to get around licensing rules.
When California's minor-work exemption applies, the total cost of a project, labor and materials together, stays strictly under the state's $1,000 limit for unlicensed work. Work that needs a license or a permit is declined.
We are insured. Insurance is not a contractor's license, and it does not change what we decline.
